Today my copy of Lou Lou Magazine (aka Canada's "shopping" magazine) arrived and inside was a free sample of Nivea natural volume lip gloss/shine. Yay, free stuff! It says "enhances natural volume and gives beautiful shine". My lips don't need volume. I have always had enormous lips. So volume boosting products aren't really a sell for me. What does sell is shine, texture and hydration. I do own several lip fusions, I feel they do plump lips and they are pretty much the only thing that conditions my lips in the winter time. I get horribly chapped lips, perhaps because they're so HUGE. The lip fusions make it so I can actually wear lipstick, otherwise it's just a flaky hot mess. Photos and stuffs after jump
Upon opening my sample I was quite surprised to find out that it's a coral tinted gloss. I thought would be clear? Unsure if this product will be in different shades or not. Official stuff here at the Nivea website-their new anti-persperants are worth checking out as well. I have the green cap one and like it since I tend to get a lil stanky using lady speed stick.
I've been wearing it for an hour or so and it is quite lovely. The colour does disappear when on your lips, so don't be scared by my hand swatch. My lips feel very smooth and shiny, it feels like they're actually being hydrated and not just surface shine. This gloss is not sticky at all. I would definitely be interested in checking this gloss out when it comes to town. And yes, I did soft focus the freckles out of my lip photo.
On to my NoTD Essie Demure Vixen. Have been lemming this polish, and my local winners got a display in! Skipped on the green from that summer collection, there is just nothing remarkable about it. But LOVE this one. Many other polish bloggers have swatched this and I have lusted after it. Mauve iridescent goodness. On a side note, please excuse all that is wrong with my fingers-bumpiness (where did that come from?!) cuticles and leftover Barry M Green. I'm lazy...don't try and pretend you aren't!
Any Canadian girls out there should go check and see if they wanted any of these colours. I was very happy, since at 6.99 CAD it's cheaper then ordering from e-tailers now that their price is up to 8 USD.
